Last week, this crew gathered for two remarkable days to record There Arises Light (in the Darkness), my new composition for violin, cello, and piano.
The Recording Dream Team
Chris Whitley (violinist, 3rd from the left) and Sterling Elliott (cellist, 4th from the right) brought the heat on every take.
Dan Shores (sound engineer, 3rd from right) made every note sound amazing.
John Veitch (piano technician, far left) brought the piano to pristine condition (and kept it there).
Louis Vieira (director of photography, far right) and Lucian Laiteng (production assistant, 2nd from right) masterfully captured every moment on video.
Dan Merceruio (producer, 2nd from left) made the arduous task of recording seem easy, and ensured that the final recording will be world-class.
There’s still beauty in the world. I saw it last week, and soon you’ll see it too.
